The Microsoft Research Lab in Cambridge wanted a central online space to keep their world-leading researchers informed of all the projects happening across their site and to help improve internal efficiency. Dovetailed were tasked with adapting their existing platform and tailoring the content and architecture towards their specific needs.

Approach
We conducted interviews with the researchers to understand the limitations of the current internal site. From this we worked collaboratively with the client to outline requirements. We were asked to work with the SharePoint platform so made sure to include an expert developer within our team as we began to shape the outcome of this project.
Design
The result was an impressive, easy-to-use and engaging internal space for researchers to share and learn about each other’s work. It combined a range of media, from video to text and images, really allowing individual projects to shine.
Results
A new SharePoint site was created and implemented which was perfectly tailored to the research community at Microsoft Cambridge.
