It has been all systems go on the research front recently. I have been to Canada to present at the CHI conference. You can find the paper published with Vaiva as one of the co-authors here.
Back at home, studies have been underway exploring how 3D printed food can be used in interactions with computers. We’ve had lots of people drop by and give it a go so far. Foods have been tasted and prototypes tested and we’re now starting to analyse our results to see what we’ve found. We hope to publish this work sometime next year and we’ll keep you updated when we do. Finally, if you think you’d like to try the latest in 3D printed food and don’t have food allergies, don’t smoke and are between the ages of 18 and 65 then you can email t.gayler@lancaster.ac.uk to take part in this study. But hurry it will end soon, so make sure you don’t miss out!
